Ecommerce SEO for Sydney stores, honestly told.

Sydney is the most contested organic market in the country. A Sydney store searching for an ecommerce SEO agency is usually up against national retailers, marketplaces and a dozen well funded DTC brands for the same category terms, and the agency that promises page one for the head term in ninety days is not reading the same results page you are.

The stores that win in Sydney do it sideways. They take the long tail of their category first, the material, size, occasion and problem searches the big retailers leave thin, build collections that own those terms, and let the head terms come as authority grows. From Surry Hills fashion labels to Northern Beaches homewares and Parramatta supplement brands, that order of operations is what has worked, and it is the plan we bring.

Where we are

Geelong HQ, serving Sydney and New South Wales remotely and in person when it counts. One senior team, no handoffs.

What you get

Architecture fixed, collections and product pages written to rank, buying guides that sell, links earned, positions from Search Console and organic revenue from your admin every month.

What ecommerce SEO in Sydney includes.

The audit, read from your data
Search Console, the store admin and a crawl of the site, before anything is written. Duplicate URLs, thin tag pages, broken canonicals, slow templates and the collections Google already half ranks.
Collections built to rank
The money pages of a store. Each one gets a real title, an introduction written for the search, internal links and product data that match the terms Sydney buyers actually type.
Product pages that convert the click
Titles, descriptions, specifications, shipping and returns answers, reviews and Product schema, so the page ranks and then sells.
Buying guides, not blog posts
Content one step before the purchase, linked to the collection it feeds. Written to sell, not to fill a calendar.
Links that are earned
Supplier and stockist credits, local and industry press, original data. Never bought, never from networks, because those are the links that get a store filtered.
Speed inside the platform's limits
Image formats, app scripts, fonts and theme code, fixed where the platform allows, so Core Web Vitals stop costing you both rankings and orders.

How ecommerce SEO in Sydney is different from a generic SEO retainer

Most SEO agencies sell the same retainer to a plumber and an online store. The store loses, because the work is different in four ways.

1. Collections are the pages that rank, and most stores have no words on them

A grid of products under a heading is not a page Google can rank for a category term. The collections that win carry an introduction that says what the category is, who it is for and why these products, and link down to the buying guide and across to related collections. We rewrite the top collections by revenue first, because that is where the organic revenue is.

2. The catalogue creates its own competition

Products at several URLs, tags and filters that multiply into thousands of thin pages, variants competing with each other. A store with two hundred products can be carrying ten thousand URLs Google has to crawl. Fixing that is invisible from the front end and often the biggest early gain.

3. In Sydney, the competition for head terms is national

A Sydney store searching for its category term sees national retailers and marketplaces above the fold. The way through is the long tail: material, size, occasion and problem searches those retailers leave thin, owned one collection at a time, with the head terms arriving as authority grows. Anyone promising the head term in ninety days has not looked at the results page.

4. The result is revenue, not traffic

We report positions from Search Console for the terms that produce orders, and organic revenue by landing page from your own admin, against the baseline set on day one. A ranking report with no revenue column is how stores end up paying for traffic that never buys.

Ecommerce SEO in Sydney is one part of the e-commerce SEO practice, which covers Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Amazon listings. Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Sydney?

We are based in Geelong and run Sydney stores remotely, with a senior team in your store admin and Search Console rather than a junior in a Sydney office. Calls are on video, the reporting is monthly and in writing, and we come to Sydney when a session in the room is worth it. Location has not decided a single result we have published.

How long does ecommerce SEO take for a Sydney store?

Technical fixes can move things inside weeks. Collections and product pages usually show in three to six months. Contested Sydney category terms take longer and depend on authority, which is why we set the baseline on day one and report against it every month rather than promising a date.

What does ecommerce SEO cost in Sydney?

It is scoped to the size of the catalogue and the channels involved, quoted as a flat monthly fee on the call, with no percentage of revenue and no lock in. We would rather tell you the number after we have read your Search Console than publish a price that does not fit your store.

Do you work with WooCommerce and BigCommerce stores, or only Shopify?

All three, plus Amazon listings. The traps differ by platform, Shopify has duplicate collection URLs and tag pages, WooCommerce has plugin bloat and speed, but the strategy is the same: fix the architecture, write the collections for buying searches, get the product data right, then earn authority.

Can ecommerce SEO and Google Ads run together?

They should. Ads show which searches and products convert within days; SEO makes those winners free over months. Run with shared tracking, the two tell you your true cost per order by channel, which is the number that decides where the next dollar goes.
